These are allegations that leave one speechless: a man, now 68 years old, is alleged to have dragged his biological daughter onto a bed in his flat almost four years ago, touched her inappropriately and raped her. The defendant has been on trial at Leipzig Magistrates’ Court since Thursday, 30 July 2026. At the request of the joint plaintiffs, part of the hearing was to take place in camera.

According to the prosecution, the events unfolded as follows: The defendant, Alexander M. (name changed), is alleged to have grabbed his adult daughter, Gitta (name changed), from behind late in the evening of 10 September 2022, dragged her into the bedroom, molested her and finally raped her. The crime is alleged to have taken place at the defendant’s flat in Lausen-Grünau.

Defendant remains silent – video questioning of the joint plaintiff

According to his lawyer, Andrea Liebscher, the man does not currently wish to comment on the serious allegations. The questioning of the alleged victim was scheduled for Thursday. The woman, now 46 years old, is a joint plaintiff, represented by a lawyer, in the trial against her father. As her legal counsel, Erwin Hubert, reported, she remains psychologically affected and traumatised to this day. He requested that the public be excluded from his client’s questioning.

Furthermore, the questioning by the court, the prosecution and the defence was to take place via video link, so that the joint plaintiff could sit in an adjoining room and would not have to be in the same room as the alleged perpetrator. The lay judges’ court has scheduled a further day of proceedings on 13 August before a verdict is reached.
